ABOUT PHS-10

PHS-10 is a peat humic substance formulated from highly humified peat and was first developed by professional engineer H.A. Hartung. Knowing from world literature that humic substances were shown to have a positive affect on higher plant life, Mr. Hartung set out to see what affect PHS-10 may have on soil microorganisms when PHS-10 was added to the soil.

Mr. Hartung used peat from three continents around the world and each of the eighty different experiments yielded the same results, that soil microorganisms oxidized sulfur in soil faster with PHS-10. Satisfied with his work in soil Mr. Hartung set out to find another complex environment of microorganisms which, lead him to the wastewater treatment industry.

Results of his work in wastewater were the same and microorganisms became stimulated by PHS-10 thus reducing the total amount of sludge produced. Shipments of sludge at the plant where Mr. Hartung conducted his work were reduced from 7, 7,000 gallon trucks per week down to 2, 7,000 gallon trucks per week. Convinced from the work of these studies PHS has now been tested at many of the worlds leading research institutions and universities, and reviewed by the Organic Material Review Institute (OMRI) and approved for organic crop production.

Testing has shown wheat harvest increases of 63%, with increases of the total green mass of corn shown to be as high as 209%. Professional sports filed managers, golf course superintendents and farmers across the country are now enjoying the benefits of PHS-10. Their reports document less use of fertilizer, fungicides and water for irrigation along with increased growth and greater recovery from stress.

PHS-10 is now marketed under the trade name of Nature’s Wonder in the agriculture and sports turf industry and is still marketed to the water environment industry under the original trade name of PHS-10.
