Peat Humic Substance
Natural Organic Humified Deposits Stimulating Microbial Activity

PHS is one of a class of natural materials called “Fossil Humic Substances” that were examined by
professional engineer H.A. Hartung. These fossil humic substances can be recovered from lignites, and leonardite, all of which require considerable amounts of alkali for extraction. Fossil humic substance found in peat can be extracted by the patented process developed by Hartung.

Many people around the world have studied conventional alkaline extracts and have found them to be very useful stimulants in agricultural and animal husbandry. When Hartung was successful in extracting fossil humic substances from peat, he naturally wanted to test PHS against the humic substances extracted from lignite and leonardite; he found that invariably PHS was more active.
