Increasing Microorganism Activity in Wastewater Treatment with PHS

Reactions of Wastewater to PHS

PHS is a Peat Humic Substance and it's natural organic properties have been demonstrated to stimulate microorganisms in the complex environments existing within a Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP). Through patented technology PHS maintains a very high state of activity due to its high molecular weight and organic structure. Complex populations of microbes in a WWTP are such that not all elements can metabolize PHS. However, these complex populations contain species that will start the metabolic process, resulting in an array of enzymes and metabolites to stimulate all forms of microorganisms present. This is a process called biostimulation.
